Daniel’s civil litigation practice is focused on the defense of construction defect, product defect, personal injury, and commercial litigations. He has achieved successful results representing store owners, businesses, general contractors, subcontractors, owner/developers, product manufacturers, and property owners. Daniel is also a Certified Litigation Management Professional (CLMP) and he takes tremendous pride in forming successful business relationships. These relationships are based on open communication, timely reporting, litigation efficiency and the molding of expectations and goals into realistic litigation plans.

Jill A. Curry​
Jill’s practice is focused on civil litigation, family law, corporate work with an emphasis on small businesses, probate and estate planning. Jill defends a wide variety of insureds from construction professionals, small businesses, large corporations, and individuals in complex civil litigation matters. Her civil litigation practice is focused on the defense of construction defect cases for general contractors, developers, design professionals and subcontractors. She also handles product defect, personal injury, and commercial litigation matters. She has been on successful trial teams securing favorable defense verdicts, and has an impressive track record of bringing complex matters to quick and economically efficient resolutions for the clients and their insurers.

Anne K. McMichael
Anne’s practice focuses on estate planning/probate and civil litigation, concentrated in the areas of
insurance defense, premises liability, and construction defect. Anne believes that in order to achieve the
best outcome for a case, it’s necessary to work closely with your clients and put their best interests first.
Anne prides herself on being pro-active, organized, and driven to obtain the best possible outcome for

Gregg S. Rich​
Gregg’s civil litigation practice is focused on construction defect and payment disputes, personal injury, premises liability, and commercial litigation matters. He has a special emphasis on the defense of general contractors and subcontractors and coverage issues stemming from those matters.
He was a member and served on the Executive Board of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association, including as its President in 2017-2018. He has also argued several times before the Colorado Court of Appeals.

Leif Distad
Leif is a Senior Counsel in the firm’s complex civil litigation group, and his practice covers product liability, 42 U.S.C. § 1983 excessive force, wrongful imprisonment, qualified immunity, and other constitutional claims, municipal liability, general liability, contract litigation, construction defect, motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, premises liability, catastrophic injury, property loss, and personal injury claims.

H. Keith Jarvis
Since 1984, Keith has been responsible for complex litigation involving construction defect and major personal injury and property damage claims. His practice focuses on construction defects lawsuits against general contractors, developers, subcontractors and material suppliers, in addition to products liability, fire cause and origin, medical products liability, toxic tort and environmental litigation. Furthermore, he handles serious personal injury and wrongful death suits and claims.
Keith led the CCRJ defense team recently involved in a significant Colorado construction defect arbitration decision involving a 250 unit multifamily project. He defended the general contractor in that case, which resulted in a lower than six figure liability after an initial demand of over 20 million from the Plaintiff. This was a significant defense decision in the history of Colorado Construction Defect litigation.

Dennis H. Markusson
Dennis Markusson was a founding partner of Markusson Green & Jarvis. He served as national counsel for the defense of a national corporation’s asbestos litigation until 2014. He continues to work with clients on asbestos issues, litigation, and factors affecting insurance coverage, including reinsurance. Dennis practices in the areas of products liability, toxic torts, commercial litigation, and contract law. Dennis is also a respected expert in asbestos-related issues.

Zeke is an associate attorney in our civil litigation department with a focus on construction defect and
bodily injury defense. He was born and raised in the Southeastern mountains of Kentucky and moved to
Colorado upon graduating from Tulane University Law School. Zeke is a highly skilled litigator, and a
fierce advocate for his clients.
