Meet Gregg

One of Colorado’s most respected attorneys by both his peers and the bench, Gregg’s litigation practice is focused on construction defect, contract disputes, commercial litigation, insurance coverage, and personal injury. He has a special emphasis on the representation of general contractors and subcontractors, and contractual issues stemming from those matters. Gregg takes pride in understanding the needs of his clients and providing the legal guidance, counseling, and zealous advocacy needed to meet and exceed those needs.

Gregg has tried multiple bench and jury trials and arbitrations. He has also argued several times before the Colorado Court of Appeals.

Firm Service/History

Gregg became a shareholder of CCRJ in 2014. For fourteen years prior to joining CCRJ, Gregg’s practice included construction defect, personal injury, employment, and telecommunications litigation at well-respected Denver civil defense firms.  He was at his previous firm for ten years, five as partner.

After graduating from Cal Poly Pomona with a political science degree and spending a few years as a haberdasher, Gregg attended the University of Denver, College of Law, graduating in 2000. While at DU, he worked as an intern for a criminal defense firm on a capital murder case.  Gregg was also student attorney at DU’s Student Law Office, representing clients in misdemeanor criminal matters and doing outreach to homeless and women’s shelters and senior centers. Gregg was active in moot court as a member of the ABA Trial Team and the Appellate Team. He also worked as an intern with the Tort Litigation Division of the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, assisting attorneys to defend the state and its agencies against civil claims.

Professional Activities

Gregg is admitted to practice law in the state court for Colorado, New York, Wyoming, and Texas, in addition to the U.S. District Courts for Colorado and the Southern District of New York, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

He was a member of and served on the Executive Board of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association, including as its President in 2017-2018. He served as pro bono counsel to the board of the Communications Technology Professionals from 2002- 2015. Gregg is also a member of the American, Colorado, Denver & Arapahoe County Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute, Claims Litigation Management, and the William E. Doyle Inn of Court.

Gregg frequently speaks on general insurance topics, construction defect law, and coverage issues for insurance industry and attorney groups. He also mentors younger lawyers on trial techniques through the CDLA Trial Academy.
