Jill is a born advocate, which is why her mom told her when she was a young girl that she would probably grow up to be an attorney. After graduating from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, and teaching English to high school seniors, she started law school at the University of Kansas, during which she received a top-notch legal education while staying true to her commitment to public service. Jill volunteered for the Douglas County Legal Aid Society and the Douglas County Adult Protective Services during her law school education, and went on to clerk for Legal Aid.
Jill joined our predecessor law firm of Markusson Green & Jarvis as a Partner in 2014, which was rebranded to CCRJ in 2017. Along with her partners Dan Coombe and Gregg Rich, Jill is responsible for the day-to- day management of the firm and mentoring associate attorneys. Jill is committed to ensuring that the firm provides the highest quality legal representation to its clients while offering a positive workplace for the CCRJ team. She is proud of the firm’s positive atmosphere and the unbelievable talent that the firm has acquired over the years.
When Jill is not working, she is enjoying the Colorado mountains, traveling, and trying to improve her acoustic guitar skills.
Jill is licensed to practice law in Colorado, as well as the United States District Court for the District of Colorado and the Colorado Supreme Court.
Her professional affiliations also include The CLM (Claims and Litigation Management Alliance), the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association (CDLA), the Colorado Bar Association, the Denver Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Colorado Women’s Bar Association.
Jill’s commitment to public service has continued throughout her legal career. She has been a Metro Volunteer Lawyer pro bono attorney since she started practicing law in Colorado, and gave her time to the Rape Awareness and Prevention Program for several years.
